It's been a difficult decision to make, but we've decided to sell our 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3 Grand Touring edition. While it's an AWESOME car, we can't justify owning three cars at this time.
The bottom line is this -- if you're looking at this car, you know what it is and why it's amazing. This is not a Mazda3 -- this is a MazdaSPEED3. Sport-tuned by Mazda's in-house performance division, this car packs nearly 270 horsepower and 280 ft/lbs of torque into its stock "hot-hatch" body-style.
We've never owned a car that offered anywhere near as much bang for the buck, both literally and figuratively. Aside from its astounding power and speed, the car includes things you'd pay thousands more for from the likes of VW, Audi, Acura, etc. Things like level-able HID Xenon headlights, Bose audio, trip computer, auto-dimming mirrors, sport-tuned suspension, traction control, massive 4-wheel disc brakes, sport-seats, stainless pedals, you name it.
This car in particular is in excellent condition with extremely low-miles. We basically parked it from November to April every year since we can't get up our hill without four-wheel drive in the winter (we live just under Thatcher Park and the Helderberg escarpment). It has a couple small dings, a small dent on the front left fender and a dent on the bottom of the passenger door that was pulled out with a suction cup (shown in photos).
The low price reflects these minor issues as well as our desire to sell it fairly quickly. The price is well below NADA book value and is firm.
